Overview
BlurVox helps you create anonymous video exports by masking faces, masking voices, and adding captions. The app is designed to work without a BlurVox account.
What Stays On Device
- Videos you import
- Face masking, voice masking, and caption processing
- Generated video exports before you choose to save or share them
Accounts
BlurVox does not require Sign in with Apple and does not create a BlurVox user account. Purchases and restores are handled by Apple through the App Store.
Purchases and Trial Access
BlurVox may offer free access for a limited period and a paid subscription through Apple. The app uses StoreKit to check purchase, restore, and app transaction status. Apple manages billing, cancellation, refunds, and subscription records under your Apple Account.
Photos Access
BlurVox asks for access only when you choose a video or save an exported video. The app does not upload your photo library to a BlurVox server.
Speech Recognition
BlurVox uses speech recognition to create captions for the selected video. Caption quality can vary depending on the audio quality, language, accent, and background noise.
What BlurVox Does Not Do
- BlurVox does not sell your data.
- BlurVox does not use your videos for advertising.
- BlurVox does not provide legal anonymity, whistleblower protection, or safety guarantees.
Deletion
Because BlurVox does not create an account, there is no server-side BlurVox account to delete. You can clear local app data from Settings in the app, delete exported videos from Photos, or remove the app from your device. Apple subscription records remain managed by Apple.
