MedPack Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 19, 2026
Overview
MedPack helps you scan medication labels, save medication details, keep the original label photo, and show an emergency card on your iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information MedPack handles and how it is used.
What MedPack Stores
- Medication label photos you capture in the app
- Text extracted from those photos using on-device OCR
- Medication details you save, such as name, strength, instructions, quantity, clinic, doctor, pharmacy, prescription date, expiry date, refill date, and notes
- Emergency card details you enter, such as name, blood type, and allergies
- Local app settings and purchase entitlement status needed to unlock paid features
Where Data Is Stored
MedPack is designed as an offline, local-first app.
- Your medication records, emergency card details, and label photos are stored on your device.
- Medication label text recognition runs on your device using Apple Vision technology.
- MedPack does not upload your medication records, emergency card, label photos, or OCR text to a MedPack server.
- MedPack does not sell your medication data and does not use it for advertising.
Apple Services
MedPack uses Apple services for subscriptions, trials, purchases, and restore-purchase flows. Apple may process purchase and subscription information under Apple's own privacy policy and App Store terms.
How MedPack Uses Information
- Create and update medication records you choose to save
- Show your current medication list and medication count
- Display your emergency card and current medications when you open the Emergency tab
- Keep original label photos available for your reference
- Support subscription and restore-purchase access checks
Sharing
MedPack does not share your medication data automatically. If you show your emergency card to another person or share information outside the app, that action is controlled by you.
Deletion
You can delete individual medications inside the app. You can also delete local app data from Settings. Deleting the app from your device also removes the app's local data from that device, subject to normal iOS behavior.
Medical Disclaimer
MedPack is an organization and reference tool. It is not a doctor, pharmacist, emergency service, diagnosis tool, treatment recommendation service, dosage advisor, or drug interaction checker. Always verify medication information against the label and with your doctor or pharmacist.
Children
MedPack is not directed to children under 13.
